Asian CosplayersThere are a lot of people who think only Asians can cosplay. The people who think this are usually Asian themselves. I do agree with this in some aspects. I agree because most western cosplayers I've seen don't even bother to take the cosplay seriously or stay in character. In contrast, Asian cosplayers stay in character and have a good enough figure and complexion to pull of the cosplay, and it makes them more enjoyable to look at. Western cosplayers can do the same thing, but none I've seen try. So, long story short, I'm not one of those people who would say that anyone can cosplay no matter what race they are, as long as they stay in character and don't act like a cosplay/anime convention is a Halloween funtime party for three year olds.
